Nogatsaa

Nogatsaa is a remote wilderness area in the eastern part of Chobe National Park, northern Botswana. It lies roughly 70–80 km south of the Chobe River/Kasane area and is characterized by dry woodland, mopane vegetation, grasslands and numerous seasonal pans.



The area is especially known for elephants and buffalo, which move through Nogatsaa seasonally. During the dry season, wildlife is attracted to artificial water points and permanent or semi-permanent pans such as Kwikamba Pan. The region is much quieter than the busy Chobe Riverfront, making it attractive for travelers looking for a more remote and exclusive safari experience.
